How to find us:
When you reach Lochinver, continue through the village towards the harbour and look out for the Highland Council Service Point sign on your left. Turn left at this sign and the Centre is facing you about 200m ahead.
Christian Community Youth Project, (A.C.C.Y.P.) and Assynt Community Education, (A.C.E.) joined forces with Assynt Leisure to set about building a single centre that would cater for an extensive range of needs.
Architects were commissioned in 2001 to design and manage the building project. Construction began early in 2004 and our new, unique centre was officially opened on 29th July 2005 by HRH The Princess Royal.
Assynt Leisure offers something for everyone in our community and is a lasting testament to the resourcefulness and industry of the people of Assynt.
This wonderful facility would not exist were it not for a large and determined group of volunteers whose huge and unstinting efforts and determination, often in the face of formidable financial, bureaucratic and technical obstacles, succeeded in bringing this much-needed and greatly appreciated community asset from conception to completion.
As a community we owe them all a debt of gratitude for their work which continues to this day.

We are a registered charity and if you would like to make a donation towards our running costs then please send a cheque or postal order, made out to Assynt Leisure, to the Royal Bank of Scotland, Lochinver, By Lairg, IV27 4LF.
